Hi, I’m Paula Klik.
On a daily basis, I support people who, like you, face different challenges and are looking for a space to be themselves without judgment. I work as a psychological consultant and psychotherapist-in-training, and my greatest passion is helping people on their journey to feeling better, understanding themselves, and regaining control over their own lives.

I have lived and worked in different countries, studying psychology, gender studies, biology, and linguistics. Each of my professional experiences has steered me towards helping others, from translating for Poles in the UK, to teaching natural sciences at a bilingual school in Colombia, and organising the world’s largest conference for LGBTI activists from around the world. As a volunteer, I have raised funds for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, translated reports and websites for smaller NGOs (ESWA, Lambda Szczecin, and the Women’s Museum), and am currently on the board of the feminist-queer organisation Spectrum.
Living and working in different spaces has taught me to be attentive to how much our identities, cultural experiences, language, gender, or sexual orientation matter in shaping our thoughts about ourselves and our experiences of the world. I have learned from people from very different backgrounds, and they have helped me build an outlook full of empathy, openness, and curiosity.
Today, I work with young adults – particularly those on the autism spectrum – providing both individual and group therapy. I am passionate about themes such as social justice, decolonisation, equality, inclusion, and diversity-sensitive care. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including humanistic, cognitive-behavioural, and integrative, always adapting the method to the person, not the other way around.
As someone who has navigated the world as a woman, a migrant, a member of the LGBTQ+ community and a person with experience of psychosocial disability, I know how important it is to come across someone who will not only listen to you, but truly understand you. And this is exactly how I want to work with you – authentically, attentively and with heart.
If you feel that I can accompany you on your journey, I’m happy to do so.
